This is a very dark roast, although not as dark as our French Roast, which is extremely dark. Our Italian Roast features Costa Rican Tarrazu beans grown high in the Costa Rican mountains in the rich, volcanic soil that imparts to this coffee its distinctive characteristics. Open the bag, and you'll find ebony colored oily beans with sharp flavors of dark roasted nuts, a tangy acidity and medium body.
